Absolute Series Mark Spears Reprints - Likely will be big!
Mark Spears is just insanely hot right now, and to see him land a connecting series of reprints for Absolutes #1 is WILD. I expect these will likely be the hottest books, with collectors clamoring to get the entire set. These are top of the list because regular collectors normally miss out on 1-2 of these, and then jump to the secondary markets to fill. I don’t know if these find the success that some of his other covers have, but this is a spec rec if I’ve ever encountered one haha.
Barbarella #5 - Akira Homage

Akira Homage, this is a no brainer. I have seen even the bad versions of these go for $$$ on the secondary, and this is a barbarella cover (actually not a fan of homages and I am grabbing this). Also it would qualify you for any incentives, and this has a 1:15 Virgin version.
Detective Kaiju #1 - Lunar Exclusive (this is new)
THIS WILL BE ALLOCATED - please note, this will be allocated, only 1954 copies are being made. I am adding this for obvious reasons. I am ordering a ton for myself, and will obviously fill customer orders before I keep any for myself. Just letting people know, this is likely going to be a VERY hot book.

On the spec list, and high up, because this series is amazing. This is the second iteration, and I have heard this has already been optioned (the series overall) for a show. IDW has already bumped this from a 3 issue mini to a 6 issue, it if catches remotely the heat the first series caught, this will be the book to have. Rosmo and Scottie have amazing variants, Fleecs also has an homage movie variant which will likely be one worth picking up.
Worth noting, they ALL have virgin ratio incentives.

I bumped these down, but they are still on my “you should be buying these” recommendation. Not just because I think they hold over time, but because the stories are all absolutely superb.

Biker Mice from Mars #1 - they are back!

The Biker Mice are back, and with their own series for 2025. It looks like they are going in hard on this one, and Bisley has a cover (love him haha). I’d not be surprised if we hear more about this, not up higher because I don’t think there is crazy long term value here, but worth noting (also just loved the Biker Mice haha).
DC x Sonic #4 - Some great covers

Batman, Flash, Superman, Sonic all on the cover together. I have seen some interest in these on the secondary, I don’t know how much the blow up (if at all), but I am buying some because they are fun!

So MJ hasn’t bonded with venom yet, everyone is annoyed with “no boobs”, but I am more interested in Doc Oc & Venom… HELL YES. I can’t recall when/if we have had these two showdown with one another, so this is going to be fun. Also dig that MJ and venom haven’t fully bonded as she LOATHES him (also love seeing the internet thirsters have to wait for venom mj boobs 🤣 ) Koblish is the cover on this one for me.

I guess JR is in and Laraz is out (was enjoying his art). Seeing John come back in to pencil was a surprise, I could very easily have missed this news though. On the interest list because of the above. If anything changes I will of course update the ranking here.

To many covers to link, but this is def in my honorable mentions for good reasons. Unsure long term value, but some of the variants for these have found love on the secondary market.

Condon has asserted he knows what he is doing, and seeing him partnered with Love seems like a perfect match. I don’t know if I’d say this is a HUGE value buy, but I do see the makings of potential bigger things. I am grabbing some, both to read and hold!

This is an all new collected edition I am super stoked for. This was a great story from Loeb and Sale, and this new edition has over 30 pages of additional behind the scenes/making of (personally I love this stuff). Grabbing one for my shelves.

I think this will actually be pretty cool either way though, and I am gonna rewatch the OG show ASAP cus this is bringing up nostalgia haha.
