So this one I am saying looks like jay and heat wave are both being dropped on us. This will be wild. I will be honest, even though I have been buying all of these, it wasn’t my fav of the Absolutes. That said, the past/present/future shit Lemire is weaving, and the set up being laid has me seriously rethinking all of it. I am stoked, and this is a no brainer for me anyway, but adding a bit more to my order for #4.

Exquisite Corpses Reprint & #2 - This has been… dramatic

This is one that had so much confusion around #1, but the dust has settled and I am recommending this again as we step into issue #2. Issue one did end up being wildly fun, and if the whole “exquisite corpses” premise lands, I do think this could stand up. I am grabbing 20 of the poly myself, I do want a complete foil card set so hoping they continue with that theme for all 13 issues.
My initial read, I was a bit underwhelmed because the hype train got me. Then as the days passed I read it again (and again) and was able to have a lot of fun with it. I am jumping in for all 13 and holding for a longer term play for this.
Oh and Martin has landed the 1:50 and I hate how amazing it is so very much.
Fantastic Four #1 - North/Ramos

North writing is all I need, I am relatively over FF (excited for the movie) but when I saw Ryan was writing it made my list again. I wasn’t sure if I should put this in spec, or honorable, but it’s landing in spec because North is an incredible talent and looks to have complete “do whatever” with this one. Worth mentioning, there are some INSANE covers for this. There are also a crazy amount of ratios, some cool some … meh.
Batman Superman World’s Finest #40 Celeb Cameo - No idea what’s going on here
I am unsure what is going on here, but something tells me these might find a secondary market.

Ok, I have only read the solicit and I am VERY VERY into this. I love the 80’s sci-fi book covers, and WINTERS IS A PHENOM. I have high hopes for this, and Oni has some decent media attachments. The team behind this is amazing as well. I am grabbing 20 (so I can get 2 1:10s)

So I guess his therapist has gone snu snu rage on miles, lol. A new hulk, recommending this because this series has been full of good spec characters. Not going heavy, getting a copy or two. I did share the “bad guys” variant as well.

These have been doing super well, and this is now one of the most iconic characters ever fantasticatized. Grabbing a few, not going crazy.
Spawn Sherlee Johnson #1 2nd Print - Grabbin

This book surprised me, I have not been stoked on Spawn in a while and this one came out of left field. I am grabbing these because I think we have a secondary character that has finally stuck. Or it could just be me, but I am subbed and grabbed all the covers/ratios for #1. I really hope they continue with the fun of this one!

This is a chance to catch up on the comic that led to an, actually ok, netflix movie. We are also getting a prequel shortly (believe the same day this drops). I am grabbing one because I haven’t actually read the entire story and I did very much enjoy what I did ingest.

These are on the list because of the insanely low print run nature. I will say THESE WILL LIKELY be allocated as only 300 are being printed of each.

Batman by Tom King - No spec here

This would normally be in books of interest, but it’s Tom King so I am recommending it a bit higher up on my list this week (these will have their own place in future FoC weeks). Tom King is one of the best writers in comics PERIOD, and his run in rebirth was nothing short of wonderful. If you haven’t read it, and love Bats, naba copy!
