Spec for 7-14-25
Another BIG week with some cheaky last second additions from Marvel (we did add that #0)
I am going to just do spec recs this week, I'd like you all to let me know if you enjoy just this. OR, if you all actually appreciate me doing the larger posts with trades/etc. Please do comment in the FoC channel on discord, I genuinely love spending the time to do these.

Batman #1 Blind Bags & 1:5 Ratios - I am EXCITED!

This is the BIG one for this week. I cannot express how excited I am about this. Finally blind bags done well. AND they have their own incentive. The incentive will pop up automatically once you have 5 books added btw (if you need help locke wrote a really wonderful article about it that you can find HERE).
These will have a chance at a random foil cover (the only way to get these). The 1:5 ratio is a Jorge Jimenez Design cover (if you remember these from Joker War, they are phenominal).
X-Men: Age of Revelation #0 - Sneak it in!

This one got snuck in mid week, and it is pretty odd to see a #0 like this. Initially I wasn't enthused about this, but the late addition and likely that most shops DID NOT see it should set this up to be a good spec play. With Jed and Humberto, I am taking the chance.
Absolute Green Lantern #5 - As always!

As you know, I will always have these early issues on the spec list. Not saying buy 100 of them, but I genuinely beleive these will be sought after years from now!
Absolute Superman #10 - Another!

See above! Also this is likely going to prove to be a key issue (not gonna spoil it, but what we all speculated was coming is revealed in this issue)!
Detective Comics #880 - Jock

Given the art just sold for over $200,000 this is one I'd pay attention to. Even thought it's a facsimle, this is one that has potential for a secondary market.
Batman Harley Quinn #1 - Same as above

This is another like above, iconic cover being reprinted. Again, not gonna get your dream home on the value of this, but worth noting.
The City Beneath Her Feet #1 Special Edition

This is one I am personally playing. Likely under ordered, and there is basically ZERO chance this doesn't get media treatment. It is a wildly underrated book, and I think one of James' best

This is a longer term hold for me, I believe these have potential to be $10 books down the line. Also I am just a huge fan of his art!
Ulimate Spider-Man Incursion #3 - X-MEN

So we are getting a pretty epic crossover event here, spidey and ultimate x-men. As such, this is on the spec list. I listed Peaches cover, because it's my fav. This does NOT mean it is the one. I am getting a few of each (5 A covers).
Event Horizon: Dark Descent #1 - If you know me at ALL

This is one of my all time favorite movies ever, and the preview for this series actually looked wildly good. I don't know if this turns into anything, but the movie is one of the most successful films to find a cult following ever. Seeing the start to how this all developed was something I was sceptical of, but I am on board now!
Nemesis Forever #1 - Millar

This isn't a crazy play, but one I am watching and grabbing.
I also said I'd keep this list short, but I wasn't able to ahahaha. This is something I have such a love for, so if you want to see the longer form ones each week. Just let me know. We also have something fun coming that will make these a bit more palletable.
We also have something in place, we have decided we don't want to open the pull list up to everyone just yet. As such, there will be a program in which you all will get invite codes for your friends/communities etc. This has always been about supporting one another, and we would prefer it be a slower community type build for now vs. this being opened entirely to the general public. We will have more info as this develops though, and the ultimate goal IS to have this be something that all comic fans can benefit from!
