Hey everyone,

Those of you who pay attention to the discord will know a shipping rate conundrum came up regarding bags and boards. Frankly, we were long overdue to go over the shipping rates with a fine-toothed comb after discovering a series of issues with Shopify shipping in general. 

Well we finally sat down, went over and revamped our shipping rates from the ground up! 

Bags and Boards No Longer Impact Shipping Rates

We understand how ridiculous it is for bags and boards to push your shipping into a new tier, and we agree they shouldn't. So now they won't!

Individual bags and boards for FOC comics will not impact your order's shipping from now on. 

Shipping Rates Shouldn't Jump as Much

Long story short, Shopify is on some wonky shit when it comes to shipping. We've accounted and adjusted for said wonkiness as best we can - and we've lowered shipping rates overall. 

The rate lowering predominantly impacts larger orders, which were creating the bulk of confusion and issues. 

"Why Not Just Make Shipping Free?"

We can't afford to. It's really that simple. We're only able to afford the large discounts we offer by operating on razor thin margins to begin with.

Offering free shipping at this juncture would literally put us in the red. That's how little we actually make per order. 

If we grow to the point where we can afford to eat shipping, we absolutely will. But for the time being and the forseeable future, we can't. 

In Conclusion

Bags and boards don't impact shipping anymore and shipping rates are better tailored.

Shipping is a matter we will be constantly monitoring and likely adjusting for the rest of eternity (or however long this service continues to last). Hopefully it's at least better today than it was yesterday.
